CaraLore is operated by Wade Norman, based in New Zealand. This website introduces the service; the public app is not open yet. There is no signup, waitlist, purchase or AI processing on this website.

Using this website

Use this website lawfully and do not interfere with its operation. Product descriptions and illustrative screenshots are not a promise of a launch date, availability or future pricing. The privacy notice explains website and support-email handling. Contact support@caralore.com with questions or rights concerns. Nothing here excludes rights or protections that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Planned app terms

The following app terms are a preview, not an offer of access or terms you accept by browsing this website. They will be reviewed before public accounts open, when the applicable terms will be presented to you.

CaraLore is intended for a general audience and does not target children under 13. Connected services have their own eligibility requirements, which also apply when you use them.

A companion, not a reading service

CaraLore helps organize a private library and provides progress-aware assistance while you read or listen elsewhere. It does not supply a licence to a book or replace your ebook or audiobook application.

Your account and content

Keep your sign-in account and connected credentials secure. Only import files, links and other material you have the right to use and process with the services you enable. Do not upload other people’s private information without permission.

You retain your rights in the content you provide. You permit CaraLore and the service providers needed for your requests to store and process it to operate the features you use. These terms do not transfer ownership of your books or grant you rights in someone else’s work.

AI, reading progress and accuracy

AI responses, memory, profiles and images can be inaccurate. Spoiler protection depends on your saved reading position and the available evidence; it is not an absolute guarantee. Keep your position current, check source notes and do not rely on AI output as professional advice.

Enabling background memory or audiobook lookahead can authorize continuing processing, not just one answer. Lookahead may process transcript beyond your current position while keeping derived story facts hidden until you reach them. Review the enabled features and provider spending controls.

Free access and model costs

The Free demo has no CaraLore subscription fee. Its initial per-reader limits are 500 total library entries, including up to 5 content books, 100 MiB of stored content, 5 imports per UTC day and 5 memory-enabled books. Shared capacity can pause new accounts or imports before an individual limit is reached. The app’s current limits and usage are authoritative.

AI features on Free require your own connected OpenRouter account. OpenRouter and model providers may charge you under their terms, including for background processing and requests that fail or produce an unsatisfactory result. You are responsible for those provider charges. CaraLore cannot promise a refund from another provider.

Review provider prices and spending controls before enabling AI. Disconnecting stops admission of new work through that connection but cannot undo a request already sent or its charges. CaraLore does not promise unlimited free AI, a fixed provider price or a particular model’s availability. Paid is an operator-assigned access tier, not a subscription sold at this launch.

Acceptable use

Do not use CaraLore unlawfully, infringe others’ rights, bypass access or spending limits, interfere with the service, or attempt to access another person’s account or library. Access may be restricted to protect the service or other people.

Availability and ending use

CaraLore is an evolving service. Features, limits and availability can change. Keep your own copies of important files; CaraLore is not a backup service. You can stop using it, export supported book data and delete your account. Disconnecting CaraLore does not cancel any separate provider account or charges.

Account deletion is irreversible once completed. It restricts further account activity and may remain pending while ongoing or uncertain work is resolved. Export what you need first and follow the app’s deletion status; do not assume a pending request means erasure is complete. The privacy notice explains separate provider and recovery-copy retention.

Responsibility

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided as available without promises that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or suitable for a particular purpose. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or protections that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Privacy, questions and changes

The privacy notice describes how information is handled. Contact support@caralore.com for service questions or rights concerns; do not send passwords or provider keys, or include private material in public issues. Changes to these terms will be published here with an updated date. Any notice or consent required by applicable law still applies.
